Chapters Performance Fundraiser

On September 9th Avila Music School held a performance fundraiser at Chapters. Our goal was to raise some funds for our school and to give the public the opportunity to listen to some of our amazing students and learn a little more about us! Any funds raised are being put towards music library maintenance and student recital expenses.

Since 1967 Avila Music School has been a music school that focuses on private lessons for people of almost all ages. We have students from 5 years old to adulthood! Our teachers have an extensive education and/or experience teaching. We are committed to providing the quality of teaching and instruction that was instilled in us by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Since we have developed into a not-for-profit-charity, our resources are vast and we have a mandate to share those resources through our Avila Memorial Library with everyone.

There were piano, voice, flute, violin and guitar performances by both students and teachers. Performance pieces ranged from classical to rock and musical theatre. This performance also gave us the opportunity to display the skills of our two new Avila Music School teachers Theresa Thibert and Karoline Mikolajewski.

A big thank you to all teachers, performers, volunteers, Chapters, Magic 99.9, Country 105 and the public for making our Chapters Performance Fundraiser such a success! We could not have done it without you! And an extra big thank you to Stephanie Hipkin for letting us borrow her keyboard for the performance!
